Rehabilitation of the rocket launch site in Kourou

The French National Centre for Space Studies has awarded Nofrayane (VINCI Construction) the first tranche of the rehabilitation of the historic site of the rocket launch pad in French Guiana, known as Diamant.

The works comprise the repair and adaptation of the launch and landing zone, total renovation of the building where the launcher is prepared, underground networks, and the zones where hydrogen and oxygen fluids are stored. The new complex will have clean rooms for the preparation of the launcher. The renovated site will host launches of the experimental vehicle Callisto, a fully recoverable and reusable space vehicle.
